Position Overview

As the Supervisor for the Pediatric Complex Care Resource Centers (PCCRC) and Leader for the Healthcare Quality Unit (HCQU) Quality Measures, this dynamic and multifaceted role requires a blend of clinical insight, adept understanding of contract stipulations, and superior critical thinking and decision-making prowess. Tasked with spearheading the PCCRC initiative, this role is central to nurturing a supportive ecosystem that enables children with complex medical needs to transition from institutional care to the warmth of their homes, thereby enhancing family life and caregiver support. In parallel, the position is instrumental in elevating the HCQU's mission to improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism. Through a strategic approach encompassing training, technical assistance, capacity enhancement, proactive information dissemination, and the Health Risk Screening Tool, the Supervisor advances core functions with precision and care.

This dual capacity role demands a proactive leadership style to manage both people and the processes and quality of projects, The Supervisor plays a pivotal role in fostering excellence. Integral to this position is the ability to cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to the collective mission.

Located in the heart of community care, this role necessitates a residency in the southwestern quadrant of Pennsylvania, positioning the Supervisor at the epicenter of transformative care and quality improvement initiatives that directly impact the lives of those we served.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Clinical Leadership and Team Supervision: Take the helm in offering clinical guidance and oversight to the family facilitators and pediatric coaches within the Pediatric Complex Care Resource Centers. You'll be instrumental in organizing work schedules, streamlining workflows, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring adherence to agency policies and procedures, all in alignment with the Resource Center's contractual obligations.
  2. Enhancement of Healthcare Quality Initiatives: Spearhead quality improvement efforts within the Healthcare Quality Unit, with a special focus on the effective utilization of the Health Risk Screening Tool. Your clinical expertise will be key in advancing the Unit's core functions, aiming at the highest standards of care and support.
  3. Exemplary Customer Service: Commit to providing exceptional service to a diverse range of stakeholders, including providers, consumers, families, and collaborators within the intellectual disability and autism service ecosystems. Your role is crucial in fostering positive relationships and ensuring responsive, compassionate interactions.
  4. Data Management and Reporting: Oversee the collection, verification, and approval of data to gauge productivity and outcomes. Your analytical skills will be essential in synthesizing this information into impactful reports that inform stakeholders and guide strategic decision-making.
  5. Travel Requirements: While the position is primarily based in the southwestern quadrant of Pennsylvania, it may occasionally require limited travel to support the Resource Center's goals, attend meetings, or participate in relevant training and development activities.

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program, coupled with a current Pennsylvania license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience, with a preference for backgrounds in psychiatric or medical-surgical settings.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience focusing on the assessment and treatment of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, mentoring, or in a leadership capacity within homecare nursing environments.
  • Solid foundation in Quality Management and Quality Improvement processes, with the ability to apply these principles to enhance service delivery.
  • Proven customer service and recovery skills, highlighting an ability to engage effectively with service users, families, and professionals.
  • Advanced Clinical nursing experience, particularly in psychiatric or medical-surgical fields, is highly desirable.
  • Previous Supervisory or mentoring capacities, especially within healthcare settings.
  • Specialized Experience within a Healthcare Quality Unit, demonstrating a keen understanding of quality care metrics and improvement strategies.
  • Certification as a Certified Developmental Disabilities Nurse (CDDN) is great to have
  • ODP Quality Management (QM) Certification is preffered
  • Experience in homecare nursing, showcasing skills in providing high-quality care in community-based settings.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $71,000 annual salary. Based on our compensation program, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level. Thank you.
