Our vacation policy is that we don’t really follow one too strictly. All full-time, permanent employees are given the opportunity to take the vacation days they feel they need. It is your responsibility to ensure you take the minimum amount required.
Retirement benefits
Save now to prosper later. Save for the future today while getting tax breaks by participating in the 401(k) plan. Shopify will contribute $3000 (prorated based on hire date) annually to your 401k. This amount will be deposited in March of the following calendar year, once Shopify passes an annual IRS 401k audit.
Paid parental leave
20 weeks of maternity leave for the birthing parent to 100% of base salary for full-time, permanent employees and 8 weeks of parental leave for the supporting parent to 100% of base salary for full-time, permanent employees. Shopify also offers a one-time cash bonus of $1,000 for the birth or adoption of a child to all full-time, eligible employees.
