Elemeno Health was co-founded in 2016 by UCSF Pediatric ICU Medical Director Arup Roy-Burman, MD, and veteran Electronic Arts (EA) Game Developer, Ed Nanale, to address a critical, unmet need in healthcare. We are backed by leading seed-stage digital health investor, Launchpad Digital Health, Silicon Valley tech accelerator, Y Combinator, and leading regulatory tech venture investor, Fenway Summer. 

Modern hospitals and other healthcare providers are characterized by sophisticated equipment, highly qualified professionals, and exquisitely formulated treatments as well as a stunning lack of tools to ensure that those resources (hardware, humans, and remedies) are applied correctly. Medical errors are the third-leading cause of death in the US. Elemeno’s co-founders decided to tackle this problem by developing a cloud-based solution for frontline healthcare teams. The Elemeno platform is a context-driven, microlearning solution to help front-line nurses, doctors, and ancillary staff adhere to the consistent delivery of best practices at the point of care. 

We are dedicated to improving the practice and delivery of healthcare through technology that matches the quality and convenience used in everyday life. Our SaaS platform is accessible from any device, from desktop to mobile. Healthcare teams can easily access their institutional best practice guidelines, up-to-date checklists, and how-to videos as complicated best practices are simplified into bite-sized, just-in-time learning. The social and gamification elements included in the platform enable frontline teams and management to give each other recognition and hold friendly departmental challenges.
