AI Interactive Avatar Developer - Remote

Job Description

• The County is currently using 8th Wall for a non-commercial augmented reality application developed by Captivatar. Separately, the County has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot using ChatGPT and Microsoft Zammo. We are looking for a development team who can develop an interactive augmented reality avatar that is capable of answering voter registration questions by leveraging the 8th Wall platform and ChatGPT. Ideally, the development team will be able to provide personality and sentiment in the AI interface. The voter registration answers will be pulled from a County database and State voter registration website. The AI should build on grounding developed by the County to limit response parameters.

Role and Responsibilities

• The interactive AI 8th wall voter information avatar must be developed, tested, and launched by mid-August 2024 to be useable prior to the November 2024 election and September 2024 voter registration deadlines. Contractor will provide a technical staff to support this project for the Department of Technology Services Office of Broadband Programs.

Minimum Qualification

• Experience and knowledge developing augmented reality applications with A-Frame, Blender or other 3D Modeling Software, and 8th Wall or similar
• Experience and knowledge developing interactive, public[1]facing chatbots or similar using ChatGPT, including grounding parameters and creating appropriate conversational tone.
