What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Affiliate Marketing to manage one of the fastest growing areas in our business. We are seeking someone with experience in business development that has the ability to implement effective practices that expand our reach, strengthen partner relationships, and drive measurable results. This person will be responsible for partnerships with a host of Affiliate vendors and internal stakeholders to consistently find efficient ways to grow 2U’s business. Included in this person’s responsibilities are optimization of marketing strategy, ad placements and payment models, partner management, new business development strategies, ad trafficking and tagging, and tactical execution. The person in this role will lead a team that is continuously looking for places to drive growth across the portfolio via existing and new relationships.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Market a wide range portfolio of degrees, boot camps, and short courses to secure ad placements across high ranking web properties within the Search Engine Result Pages.
  • Define and manage strategic goals for the team and prioritize the team’s focus on an ongoing basis. Oversee all problem solving and project management necessary to ensure that affiliate tactics are maintaining accuracy and timeliness. Continuously uplevel team’s skills in negotiation, data analytics, and optimizing lines of business.
  • Independently seek and identify areas of growth leverage on a continuous basis for existing and new vendors. Partner with leadership team to implement data-driven growth strategies, and match opportunity with business need and investment decisioning.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with 50+ agencies and vendors on placement, creative, and other growth strategies. Act as the “face” internally and externally for the Impact platform, our largest network of affiliate marketing vendors. Strategize how to use data to negotiate with vendors on setting commission rates.
  • Stay up to date with best industry practices and competitor activities.
  • Hire, retain, and develop a team of 3-5.
  • Provide clear guidance and coaching to team members.
  • Work to remove roadblocks that are flagged by the team and escalate when needed.

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • Thorough knowledge: Business development techniques specifically related to negotiation, data analysis, and strategic influence
  • Comprehensive knowledge: Managing a high volume of existing relationships with external vendors
  • Comprehensive knowledge: Data analytics with a knack for using data to diagnose and solve problems
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Drive large number of internal initiatives and processes with exceptional project management skills
  • Thorough Knowledge: Proven ability to effectively summarize and present information to leadership and C-level executives
  • Thorough Knowledge: Managing and developing a team of specialists with their career goals in mind
  • 6+ years of experience in Affiliate Marketing with a deep understanding of various partnership strategies. Additional digital marketing experience in paid search and SEO is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience managing people
  • Strong competency using MS Office tools, Google Suite, Tableau, and Google Analytics
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($101,000 - $130,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
