We at the Identity team provide smooth and efficient activation and account handling for Truecaller users. Our mission is to secure authorized access to our platform to legitimate users only.

As a Senior Backend Engineer in Identity, you will be working with a cross-functional team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Truecaller services catering to more than 368 million active users and you play an important part in defining and evolving the backend architecture. We are looking for an ambitious developer who has a passion for technology and a great will to learn and grow with us.

The impact you will create:

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency application and cope with the challenge of working in a distributed environment.
• Operate mission critical services, providing high availability (99.999%).
• Collaborate across business units and drive solutions.
• Explore new solutions and technologies.
• Build a scalable and reliable system.

What you bring in:

• At least 5 years of software development experience with Scala or Java
• Experience of working with distributed systems, architecture, and patterns
• Experience of working with non-relational databases
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Good English skills, oral and written
• Mentoring/ Leadership skills

It would be great if you also have:
