We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis who will lead and grow a team to manage the operational and financial health of our business. The Director will work closely and productively with senior finance leaders and executive management to influence, refine, and implement strategy. The ideal candidate will have worked in a successful high-growth company and can bring such experiences to skills as we continue to define the future of esports and mobile gaming. The role reports to the company’s CFO
This role requires permanent remote work and within U.S. business hours, specifically Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a global team to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, SOX controls, and external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement in the month-end close process for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, overseeing audit processes and proactive communication with external auditors.
- Proactively monitor the SOX/internal controls, audit compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance and operations, to drive process improvements and optimize financial efficiency.
- Partner with FP&A for monthly variance analysis, management reporting, and IFRS/US GAAP reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards and ensure the company’s accounting practices comply.
- Support the Chief Financial Officer and senior management in strategic financial planning & analysis.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated educational success at a reputable university
- M.B.A. or master’s degree in finance is a plus
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in financial management and operations function at a fast-growing company; technology industry experience is a preferred
- Experience in an FP&A leadership role in a public company setting is preferred
- A broad range of capabilities including being an executor who can communicate problems and their solutions
- Ability to take high-level strategic perspectives while not being afraid to delve into the details of specific analyses
- Ability to interact with and influence people at all levels of an organization
- High degree of financial and analytical process leadership and business acumen
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills for budgeting & forecasting, combined with strong attention to detail
- Ability to present complex information in a usable format to a diverse audience
- Experience establishing, implementing, and adhering to process improvement initiatives within a high-growth environment
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and think critically.
