Giant are hiring a Render Wrangler for an exciting CG production.
Position Overview
This opportunity is a full-time position, with the candidate required to reside in the Republic of Ireland. We provide flexible working arrangements, including on-site, fully remote, or hybrid options.

Position Responsibilities
- Ensure that render jobs are properly prioritised in the queue system so that project goals are met while monitoring the render farm’s health and status regularly.
- Monitor rendering quality and quantity, as well as making the required corrections (troubleshooting) when needed.
- Communicate with the IT Manager and Creative Supervisors on outstanding hardware and software issues, as well as overall render farm performance and efficiency (maximisation) across the facility.
- Monitor disk server status. Perform backups, archiving and restores.
- Support the artists and leads by responding to their help inquiries and errors.
- Assist in the creation of production-supporting tools with the R&D or Pipeline team.
Requirements
- Good understanding of TV/Film production processes and pipelines.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills, plus the ability to track and reconcile multiple priorities.
- Independent, proactive, and trustworthy.
- High level of urgency.
- Knowledge of Deadline, our render farm manager.
- Knowledge of ShotGrid/Shotgun is a must.
- Knowledgeable in Windows, Linux and Mac environments.
- Experience with software such as Nuke, Maya, Arnold, Adobe After Effects, and 3D/2D software plug-ins.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
