What You’ll Do:
The Staff Accountant will assist the Operation Accounting Manager to train and coach Operation Accounting staff on department functions and processes. Staff Accountant will be responsible for reconciling more complex manufacture vendor statements. Staff Accountant will coordinate with operations (the field) on accounting needs.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Engage in and bolster all team endeavors while infusing motivation into fellow members.
- Bear the responsibility of imparting guidance and support to internal clientele and vendors as circumstances necessitate.
- Facilitate the training of team members in specialized accounting tasks and the utilization of accounting systems.
- Compose journal entries with precision.
- Generate reports for the Operation Accounting Manager with meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the Operation Accounting Manager regarding departmental concerns or requisites.
- Reconcile designated manufacturer vendor statements and rectify any discrepancies therein.
- Vigilantly oversee and sustain trade schedules for assigned vendors, addressing aging items and resolving any scheduling conflicts.
- Scrutinize and uphold accrued schedules pertinent to assigned vendors.
- Examine and manage parts return and core return schedules, collaborating with the PCO and Inventory Control Manager.
- Articulate posting discrepancies with accounts payable, operations, and/or branch personnel.
- Collaborate with accounts payable, operations, and branch staff to implement corrective measures when posting errors occur, offering guidance and/or assistance as required.
- Contribute to accounting projects and execute all other duties at the discretion of management, as assigned.
- Prepare and execute month-end tasks as directed by the Operation Accounting Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of related or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize work, and balance multiple projects, while meeting deadlines.
◦ Possess exceptional verbal and written communication prowess. ◦ Exhibit meticulous attention to detail coupled with robust analytical acumen. ◦ Demonstrate formidable proficiency in computer skills, with particular expertise in Excel. ◦ Strong acumen to assume accountability for the genesis of innovative concepts, spearheading enhancements and transformation by delivering insightful perspectives.
Compensation:
