Senior Project Technician
Doka USA Ltd. seeks a Senior Project Technician to provide technical assistance to the sales department from the project design stage to project inception and completion. Plan technical solutions for projects utilizing Doka formwork systems. Partner with customers, contractors, sales and operations departments while managing jobs from preliminary project planning stages to project completion. Support sales by determining appropriate formwork solutions that meet the customer’s needs including economically, and in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines. Work with sales to produce AutoCAD drawings during the proposal stage and finalize working drawings for Doka USA forming systems. Provide material lists for quotations and shipments to the site. Guide customers regarding forming solutions, service job sites, and respond to questions concerning equipment usage, among others. Produce and ensure that the drawings indicate the proper use of Doka USA forming equipment and that the drawings represent safe, economical and efficient designs. Handle technical planning, forming projects, and individual projects. Ensure that the policies, procedures, programs, standards of performance and compliance are adhered to and monitor conformance with contractual guidelines. Telecommuting permitted. 2% domestic travel required.

SALARY: $79,000 - $89,000 per year

Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field and 6 years of concrete forming and shoring applications and design experience. Must have experience with: Project managing; AutoCAD and Structural analysis; Project management software; Computer applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Partnering with customers, contractors, sales and operations departments while managing jobs from preliminary project planning stages to project completion; Determining and planning technical solutions for projects utilizing formwork systems; Supporting Sales by determining appropriate formwork solutions that meet the customer’s needs (economically, and in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines); Working with sales to produce preliminary drawings during the proposal stage, finalize field use drawings, generating material lists for quotations and shipments to the site; Providing guidance to customers regarding forming solutions, servicing job sites and responding to questions concerning equipment usage; Motivating team and delegating work ensuring team and company objectives are met; Ensuring that the policies, procedures, programs, standards of performance and compliance are adhered to; Monitoring conformance with contractual guidelines; Visiting job sites, identifying any improper implementation and taking action to ensure technical solutions are immediately implemented; Servicing the job site for the correct use of formwork systems in the absence of a service advisor; Ensuring safe working practices and a safe working environment; and Participating in company committees/teams. Telecommuting permitted. 2% domestic travel required.
