The Role
We are the fastest growing e-commerce company in LA and we're looking for a DevOps Engineer that will help us build and monitor our applications and cloud infrastructure. You will work alongside an awesome team on support while focusing heavily on automation, monitoring, and scaling the infrastructure. You will develop a deep understanding of how our business works and how all of our engineering components are involved.
You Will be
- Building an automated system installation/configuration procedures
- Implementing and deploy scripts/tools to facilitate error free and repeatable software deployment processes
- Contributing to planning efforts for disaster recovery, capacity expansion, component upgrading and system hardening
- Identifying problems and inefficiencies in the growing environment and making strategic recommendations for improvements
- Creating and updating technical documentation on installations, incidents, and procedures
- Troubleshooting performance issues and production environments
- Contributing expertise in technical areas to the team as a whole
- Joining weekly on-call rotations
- Working on Ad hoc projects depending on needs of Engineering team
- Helping development teams scale their infrastructure in AWS
You Must Have
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Strong Systems Engineering background
- Advanced scripting in Bash, Python, Golang, Ruby etc.
- Strong knowledge of web application infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of Core AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Cloudwatch, Route53
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Containers
- Strong knowledge of Monitoring
- Cloud computing platform experience
- Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as code
- Working knowledge of CI/CD implementation best practices
- Self-starter, able to tackle projects from start to finish with ownership
- Comfortable collaborating with other engineers
