Job Summary: The Product Marketing Associate will be responsible for developing and executing key tasks relating to product portfolio life cycle analysis and market intelligence. It will be critical for this role to focus on overall portfolio management for the segment globally.
The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in conducting business and market assessments, considering business strategies and demonstrating excellent communication abilities to effectively present their findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current share of wallet and assist to uncover market based opportunities to gain share and new business growth.
- Proactively propose opportunities for new products or technologies that can improve existing offerings, expand the offering or enter into adjacent markets.
- Conduct product life cycle assessments for the existing markets and portfolio to guide on the sustaining and new product plans for IPS.
- Monitor key trends driving consumer behavior and market activity to fuel future technology and capability needs for IPS growth and market share success.
- Ensure latest competitive intelligence by working closely with Sales, other functions, industry publications/conferences and reports to provide critical market insights for strategy and decision making.
- Draft and propose business cases for an investment to move the business forward and secure profitable growth potential for IPS.
- Ability to tactically implement strategies, often requiring but not limited to in market tasks relating to customer interactions, industry conferences, etc.
- Partner with Sales to develop the right positioning and messaging tools capture the most value for the segment.
- Partner with Generating Demand Marketing and Corporate Communications in developing sales and marketing tools for IPS.
- Create and maintain a library of marketing tools such as customer presentations and competitive materials relating to IPS products.
- Drive market connections through customer innovation meetings, tradeshow and industry conference attendance.
- Demonstrate qualitative and quantitative decision making for significant business investments for the segment.
- Ability to use and learn as needed multiple business tools to best assess overall business – Power BI, Finance reports, Salesforce, Smartsheet, etc.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration is preferred.
- Fast learning, willing to take initiative and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and qualitative skills.
- Acute attention to detail while ability to assess at marco level assessment.
- Demonstrate initiative, integrity and results oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and influencing verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong motivation and work ethic and the ability to work independently remotely, travel and ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines.
