As a Collections Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company receives timely payments from clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Use accounting software to generate reports and review open accounts for past-due balances.
- Track invoices nearing due dates and send reminders to customers proactively.
- Identify overdue amounts based on customer payment terms.
- Contact customers via phone or email in a professional manner to resolve outstanding payments while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Collaborate with Project Accountants and Project Managers to address billing issues and delinquent accounts.
- Reconcile discrepancies between customer records and company accounts.
- Escalate unresolved past-due accounts to the Credit & Collections Manager as needed.
- Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements.
- Assist with generating and submitting invoices across various software platforms.
- Apply payments to customer accounts and review credit reports to establish credit limits for new customers.
- Identify trends in account delinquency and propose solutions to management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in billing and collections.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and excel in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems and project accounting environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Power BI, and SQL is desirable.
