The Founder Group Coordinator's job is to bring together high-performing Founders in monthly meetings, learn what they need help with, and facilitate their goals on an ongoing basis. This is a high-touch position which involves keeping in constant contact with 50-100 startup company Founders on a regular basis.
What are Founder Groups?
Founder Groups are 8-person cohorts of startup Founders that meet regularly to discuss their challenges, identify their needs, and collaborate toward their most important goals. Each group works together to help each other, providing an open, safe space to share all of the challenges that come with being a startup Founder.
Startups.com brings these Founders together for monthly meetings (in-person or Zoom) where we provide a Moderator to facilitate and drive the discussion and a Group Coordinator to make sure all goals and requests are supported.

What Makes a Great Group Coordinator?
Empathy. It's important to understand that Founders are incredibly lonely in their journey (most people don't realize this) and need a ton of support. A good GC appreciates the struggle they are going through and is eager to help them along.
Organization. Each GC supports roughly 20 Founder Groups, coordinating their meeting times, sitting in and taking notes on all of the meetings, and following up with key action items for each member. This requires a tremendous amount of organization and management.
Communication. The GC is the community voice for every Founder Group, helping them stay connected with each other between meetings as well as creating connections to other group members who may be able to assist them.
Requirements
We're looking for people who love startups. Most of the conversation GC's are involved with are specifically about the lives of startup Founders and their needs. Without any context for how startups work or what general terminology is, it makes it hard for GC's to be effective.
Startup Experience. Having worked at a startup or having spent time in some sort of entrepreneurial endeavor is a big plus. This helps drive affinity and empathy for what Founders go through.
Community Management. This role is about developing a mini-community amongst each group as well as the larger network of Founder Groups as a whole. Demonstrating experience in having managed an online community would be a big benefit.
