Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support network configurations that meet client requirements.
- Manage and monitor network performance, applying proactive troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime.
- Configure and maintain networking hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and other equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on the execution of network projects and upgrades.
- Assist in developing and implementing network security policies and best practices.
- Document network changes, configurations, and processes for future reference.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Stay informed about new networking technologies and industry developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in network engineering or similar roles.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching principles.
- Experience with network management systems and monitoring tools.
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network devices from various vendors, particularly Cisco.
- A basic understanding of network security protocols and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and virtualization concepts is advantageous.
