A Day in the Life:
- Serve as the go-to technical expert for complex IT issues, providing advanced L2/L3 support across Windows, macOS, and mobile environments.
- Manage user access and identity systems through platforms like JumpCloud or Entra ID, ensuring secure authentication and seamless SSO experiences.
- Oversee endpoint management across the organization—deploying, configuring, and maintaining devices using modern MDM/UEM tools.
- Support Windows 11 and Apple ecosystems, handling everything from zero-touch provisioning to policy enforcement and patch management.
- Administer network infrastructure including gateways, switches, and Wi-Fi systems to maintain secure, reliable connectivity across offices.
- Collaborate with peers and leadership on IT projects, such as technology rollouts, system upgrades, and automation initiatives.
- Document processes, build knowledge bases, and continuously improve service delivery through proactive monitoring and problem resolution.
What it takes:
- 5–7 years of hands-on IT experience with proven L2/L3 technical support responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management, including SAML/SSO configuration and automated provisioning.
- Expertise in managing Windows 11 and Apple environments, including device deployment, patching, and policy enforcement.
- Solid understanding of modern MDM/UEM platforms such as Intune, Jamf, or JumpCloud.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and hardware—firewalls, switches, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN troubleshooting.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to analyze root causes and develop long-term solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach when supporting both executives and peers.
- Bonus: scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash) and relevant certifications such as Okta Certified Professional or Microsoft Endpoint Administrator.
