About the Role

Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Consultant for the Sellers Dorsey’s National Consulting Practice - Child and Family Well‑Being (CFW) team to do meaningful work in a dynamic, fast‑growing division focused on improving systems that serve children, families, and communities. In this role, you will support a range of Medicaid‑ and child‑ and family‑serving projects, partnering with Project Directors and multidisciplinary teams to help clients navigate complex challenges and strengthen programs, policies, and outcomes. The position offers hands‑on exposure to client servicing, project management, and internal operations, with meaningful opportunities to contribute to both external client success and internal operational effectiveness and efficiencies. You will have the chance to make a big impact early supporting high‑priority client deliverables, improving how work gets done across the firm, and helping advance Sellers Dorsey’s strategic priorities in child and family well‑being.

This role is well‑suited for individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced, growth-oriented environment, value teamwork, and are energized by contributing to a strong, cohesive team committed to improving systems and outcomes for children and families.

  • Build trusted relationships with internal teams and subject matter experts and supports client interactions with professionalism, responsiveness, and a service-oriented mindset. Independently complete routine project tasks, contribute to client reports and communications, and proactively identify risks, issues, opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Play an important role in strengthening internal operational effectiveness, supporting project administration, documentation, workflow development, and information gathering to improve efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Contribute as a dependable team player by adhering to firm policies, standard operating procedures, compliance and utilization expectations, and submitting accurate and timely time and expense reports. The opportunity for contribution is expansive.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Child Welfare, Health and Human Services, Operations, Business, Project Management, Public Policy, Public Health, Juvenile Justice, and/or Social Work.
  • 3-5 years related experience in Child welfare.
  • Medicaid knowledge and expertise preferred.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Strong experience with SharePoint, Smartsheet or comparable tools.
  • Ability to successfully work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an array of colleagues and clients.
  • Time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
