About the company
Remote World is partnering with a UK-based travel booking platform to hire for this role. They handle over a million bookings a year across flights, hotels, and packages — and when travel plans change (and they always do), their support team is the difference between a loyal customer and a lost one.
The role
You'll assist travellers via live chat and email with booking changes, cancellations, refund requests, and urgent travel issues. Travel support is fast-paced and unpredictable — no two days are the same, and you'll need to stay calm when customers are stressed.
What you'll do
- Handle inbound live chat and email queries from travellers
- Process booking modifications, cancellations, and refund requests
- Liaise with airlines, hotels, and suppliers to resolve issues on behalf of customers
- Manage urgent cases including missed flights and last-minute changes
- Escalate complex disputes and complaints to the specialist team
What you'll need
- Clear, reassuring written English — you keep stressed travellers calm
- Fast and decisive — travel issues are often time-sensitive
- Organised and able to juggle multiple cases simultaneously
- Comfortable working shift patterns including some weekends
Nice to have
- Experience in travel, hospitality, or airline customer service
- Familiarity with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre) or OTA platforms
- Second language a bonus — Arabic, French, or Spanish particularly useful
What you'll get
- $2,000–$3,000 USD/month based on experience
- Fully remote
- Varied, fast-paced work — genuinely different every day
- Paid leave
- Path to Senior Support, Travel Operations, or Account Management
Apply with your CV. Please include your shift availability and any languages you speak beyond English.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. If you meet most but not all of the requirements, please apply anyway.
