Position Overview

RecruitGo is seeking a highly skilled Post Sales Engineer (Design Engineer) to support the delivery of high-quality audio-visual and technology solutions. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing accurate engineering documentation to ensure that design intent from the pre-sales phase is effectively translated into technical drawings and documentation for efficient project delivery, installation, and commissioning.

The Post Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with Project Managers, site staff, and technicians to produce drawings, schematics, elevations, and equipment labeling that align with project requirements and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, update, and finalize engineering documentation using AutoCAD (title blocks, sheet sets, floorplans, elevations, schematics, rack layouts, and equipment labeling).
  • Ensure drawings reflect practical AV equipment installation, orientation, and associated services (power, data, etc.).
  • Review and create engineering blocks that match specified products.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, site teams, and technicians to incorporate feedback and support real-world installation requirements.
  • Maintain version control, documentation accuracy, and adherence to internal and industry standards.
  • Report project progress, technical challenges, and improvement areas to the National Engineering Manager.
  • Support continuous improvement of engineering documentation processes and other related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in AV design engineering, video conferencing, and unified communications solutions.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF authoring tools.
  • Strong knowledge of AV products and systems, including video conferencing.
  • Proven ability to produce accurate AV documentation (schematics, rack layouts, floor/elevation plans).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within tight timelines.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in AV design and installation.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a collaborative approach.
