United States onlyezCater is seeking a Director and Managing Counsel to lead commercial legal support to its sales, operations, marketing, and product teams. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years as an in-house attorney managing lawyers and supporting multiple departments. The role involves providing best-in-class commercial legal support, leading complex contract negotiations, and developing and implementing strategies to drive enterprise prospect and customer engagement.
Requirements
- A Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Good standing member of the bar in at least one state or the District of Columbia
- 10+ years of legal experience
- 5+ years as an in-house attorney managing lawyers and supporting multiple departments
- Experience at a marketplace company with B2B and B2C operations (a plus)
- Strategic mindset and proven ability to champion change and build operationally excellent processes and practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Direct experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with internal stakeholders
