Prezly is looking for a HR Director to join our team. We’ve been slowly/steadily growing to a 20 person team and now want to grow to a 30 person team. That is why we want to invest in creating a healthy company culture and install/improve all our processes around HR (hiring, recruitment, onboarding, personal objectives, work/life balance, personal growth).

About the role

We know that the single most important resource is our people. We are looking for our first and foundational HR team member to join our core leadership team and help us ensure that our highest priority resource is taken care of from employee onboarding through multiple years of tenure with us.

We want to be sure that as we grow our team, we scale with purpose, and that the experience of our people is always at the forefront. Reporting directly to our co-founders, you’ll act as a strategic thought partner for the business as a whole.

Another part of the role is to own the recruitment process from sourcing candidates, optimising the hiring process to taking an active role in hiring the right people for the job.

Covid-19 and Travel

As international borders reopen, we’re thrilled to be able to start planning in-person retreats and visits to our HQ. Since regulations vary from country to country, we expect each team member to make themselves aware of the travel regulations pertaining to where they live and plan their own travel accordingly.

We are happy to cover the costs for any covid tests you need to take to comply with travel regulations when attending retreats or other team meetings, which will vary depending on things like your country of residence, vaccination status and so on.

Job requirements

What You'll Do:

  • People Strategy: Provides coaching and advice to employees, managers and leaders in all areas of HR and people decisions. Collaborates with Leadership to drive HR programs and policies that care for the whole human

  • Recruitment: Help us source, interview and select the right candidates to join the company.

  • People Operations, Benefits & Payroll: Oversee the administration of payroll and hHandle all questions regarding company policies, benefits, and leaves

  • Performance Management: Ensure there is a good process that makes sure everyone knows their responsibilities/expectations and is regularly evaluated on those.

  • Career Development: Develop and implement programs that provide ongoing learning and development opportunities, and foster a culture of continuous feedback and improvement

What you bring to Prezly

  • A highly empathetic, compassionate and thoughtful individual

  • A passion for and ability to seamlessly maneuver between the tactical and strategic elements of HR and People Operations

  • A strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator

  • 5+ year people management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, and experience supporting employees at all levels of the organization

  • A hands-on executor. Someone who enjoys developing a long term, high impact vision and putting in the nitty-gritty work it takes to turn that into a reality will thrive with us.

  • Experience as an early HR team member at a start- or scale-up

  • Someone who’s worn multiple hats in the HR world - including (but not limited to) employee onboarding programming, performance review cycle management, compensation program development and management and employee sentiment measurement

  • You’ve been on the forefront of recruiting before, and know the ins and outs of finding good people, interviewing and hiring them.
