Hello!

Thanks for checking out our job posting for the role of Finance Manager at PerchPeek. You’ve already taken a tiny step towards being a part of our team—huzzah! We know that taking your next career step is as exciting as it can be exhausting. So, with that in mind, we’ve tried to keep our description simple and cliché-free to help you decide if PerchPeek and this role are a good match for you.

What is PerchPeek?

At PerchPeek we dream of a borderless world where people have the freedom to live and work where they please. Where ideas and resources flow where they’re most needed unrestricted by national borders. We strive to create a world of opportunity for everyone, anywhere — one move at a time.

Have you ever relocated? If so, you probably know how overwhelming it can be—immigration hoops, tax implications, housing, shipping, utilities, banking…the list goes on. No matter where in the world you go, relocating is complicated, time-intensive, and stressful. PerchPeek was conceived to change that.

We’re building a streamlined Mobility ecosystem to empower businesses and individuals to move anywhere in the world. We support employers and employees through every stage of the relocation process, providing an affordable, scalable, high-value service, powered by technology and relocation expertise.

For relocators, our goal is to guide them through every step of their move with a delightful mix of tech, coaching, content, and partnerships which work together to make relocating simpler, faster, and more fun.

For employers, we streamline the entire process of supporting international Mobility into one easy-to-use platform, turning Mobility into a strategic advantage for thriving globally.

Now you know why we’re so passionate about what we do!

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and versatile Finance Manager who is energised by the challenges of a high growth and already global startup.

You will be responsible for delivering against core finance processes and managing our Finance Assistant to scale the Finance functions at PerchPeek. Given the broad nature of this role, you will have the opportunity (and should be hungry!) to be involved in driving process and technology improvements, not only across the internal business, but also for external, client-facing projects, as Finance is a key element of the service and value that we provide to clients. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who’s not afraid to take on something big!

Responsibilities

Whilst every role in a startup has a degree of flexibility over time, here is what we see as the role’s main responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Lead the month-end close process and deliver timely, accurate management accounts
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and perform P&L flux analysis to identify key trends
  • Prepare statutory accounts for our UK, US, and Indian entities in collaboration with local advisors
  • Manage compliance across direct and indirect tax filings, as well as global transfer pricing
  • Support investor reporting by preparing monthly finance packs and performance updates
  • Assist with technical accounting memos, documentation, and other ad hoc compliance tasks

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Oversee end-to-end AP and AR processes across multiple jurisdictions, including vendor and contractor payments
  • Manage a Finance Assistant to ensure accurate payments, bookkeeping, and reconciliation processes
  • Take ownership of complex remittance applications, reconciliations, and bad debt posting when required
  • Drive weekly and monthly invoicing cycles, including PO tracking, revenue recognition input, and audit readiness
  • Lead collections activity and customer payment follow-up in collaboration with account management
  • Support supplier relationships, resolve discrepancies, and complete monthly reconciliations

Cash & Treasury Management

  • Lead weekly cash monitoring and recommend short-term placement or operational funding actions
  • Prepare and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts to support decision-making and liquidity planning
  • Support FX planning and execution of currency strategies across multiple currencies
  • Collaborate with VP of Finance to assess funding needs and explore options (e.g. credit lines, client terms)
  • Assist in treasury process development, including banking setup, payment controls, and treasury policy
  • Monitor prepaid card usage and reconcile balances with operational spend

Client-Facing Deliverables & Projects

  • Engage with our Product and Operations teams to support the continuous enhancement of how we offer Finance as a service to our external clients.
  • Act as the point of contact for client finance queries, onboarding, and invoicing/reporting requirements
  • Support internal teams on client-specific nuances in cost tracking, expense reimbursement and billing

Strategic Projects

  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of an AI-first finance tech stack to streamline operations
  • Drive Quote-to-Cash process improvements in partnership with Product and RevOps teams
  • Participate in cross-functional projects tied to financial tooling, client delivery, and internal reporting
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, or simplification of recurring finance workflows

Requirements

The type of person we think will be awesome at this will likely have the following range of qualities and experience:

Education & Certifications

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) strongly preferred but not required
  • Additional certifications in tax or treasury (e.g. CTA, AMCT) are a plus

Relevant Experience

  • 5–7+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in fast-paced or scaling environments
  • Strong background in statutory accounting, tax preparation, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions (UK required, US preferable, India a bonus!)
  • Proven ability to manage client-facing financial services and stakeholder communications
  • Hands-on experience with treasury operations, cash management, and internal financial reporting

Technical Proficiency

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting platforms
  • Advanced Excel and spreadsheet modelling skills
  • Strong understanding of indirect tax landscapes and strategies to navigate complexities
  • Comfortable dealing with multi currency complexities and dynamics
  • Exposure to financial technology stacks and implementation projects is a bonus

Core Competencies

  • Comfortable managing and developing team members, and stepping into leadership moments
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear verbal and written communicator with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Autonomous self starter with a drive to set and deliver against priority driven deadlines
  • A forward thinking mindset that focuses on continuous improvement to enable scalability
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams

Additional Requirements

  • Based in European time zones to enable flexible collaboration across multiple regions
  • Exceptional project management capabilities for cross-functional initiatives
  • Prior experience in a fast paced tech enabled service-based business is highly beneficial
  • Trustworthy and professional, with sound judgment and respect for sensitive information
