Role Overview:
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will serve as the main point of contact for patients enrolled in or considering participation in clinical research studies. This role demands a high degree of empathy, communication, and organizational skills to ensure patients feel fully supported at every step.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Onboarding & Communication:
- Conduct initial outreach to patients interested in clinical trials.
- Administer secondary pre-screener questionnaires.
- Guide patients through the onboarding process, explaining study details, requirements, and addressing initial questions.
- Send reminders and follow-ups.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding study protocols and next steps.
- Ensure patient-related inquiries are handled in a timely manner by collaborating with the clinical team.
- Accurately log patient interactions, details, and progress in the CRM.
- Maintain confidential records, ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with operations, recruitment, and clinical teams to align patient needs with organizational goals and communicate feedback for continuous improvement in patient experience.
Requirements
- Must have a Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate
- Prior experience in healthcare, clinical research, or patient-facing roles.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and empathy.
- Proficiency in data entry and CRM management.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and clinical research standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Professional demeanor, with a calm and empathetic attitude toward patients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple patient interactions consistently.
- Proactive communication style, anticipating patient needs and addressing them promptly.
- High level of tech proficiency, able to navigate CRM and data management systems seamlessly.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced clinical environment and a positive approach to change.
