Pathrise (YC W18) is an online program for tech professionals that provides 1-on-1 mentorship, training and advice to help anyone land their next job. On top of that, we're built around aligned incentives. Fellows only pay when they get hired and start working at a job first.

The Role 

Pathrise is looking for a Growth Analyst to join our expanding growth team. This role will report directly to the head of growth and will work closely with other members of the growth team. 

A Growth Analyst can expect to work on starting and expanding new growth channels (including growth products, paid marketing campaigns etc), dashboarding and projections for existing growth channels, and supporting existing growth channels and initiatives.  

This role is perfect for someone who has entrepreneurial drive and existing analytics skills! You will directly contribute to the growth of the enrollment for the core Pathrise program. 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in design, implementation and reporting of A/B test on outbound marketing channels  

  • Building and maintaining Salesforce reports and dashboards

  • Contributing to growth brainstorms with new ideas to acquire users or optimize and expand existing channels

  • Testing and reporting on experimental channels regarding lead volume and acquisition cost

  • Collaborating with our growth and advising teams to provide operational support for Pathrise events

  • Assisting in the management of our core outbound marketing channels (Linkedin and email prospecting)

  • Developing quality control infrastructure and communication audits for our lead generation teams

Required

  • 1-5 years of experience in growth or digital marketing where you directly contributed to the growth of a company

  • Experience working on analytics, reporting, and forecasting

  • An outgoing personality and passion for working with people, able to ask questions, pinpoint issues, and proactively solve for them

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excel/Google sheets and basic data analytics competency 

  • Experience with CRMs (Salesforce and Hubspot preferred)

  • Experience with SQL, Metabase, Google Data Studio or other data warehousing/dashboarding tools

Preferred

  • Frontend development proficiency

  • Comfortable writing SQL queries from scratch

  • Front end web development skills (HTML, CSS, Javascript)

  • Experience A/B testing outbound marketing campaigns

  • Copywriting experience

Advancing your career shouldn't be a chicken and egg problem.

Applying alone rarely ever works. Networking is essential.

The interview process is a winnable game.

People aren't naturally gifted at interviewing well. This is a skill that needs to be learned and practiced because it's the first impression you give someone. It even leads to better communication in the workplace. While it might not be an exact science, there are plenty of well-defined patterns that can 10x your chances of crushing an interview.

Effective career services must be both deeply personal and powered by technology.

Using technology, career services can be personalized on a 1:1 scale yet also be equally effective for an entire student population. By learning from collective data, launching your career can become data-driven rather than an unsolvable mystery.

Anxiety is an inevitable part of the job seeking process. Career services should address that anxiety and help you build confidence.

It can be terrifying, confusing and lonely to figure out what you want to do, how to do it and where to start. Career services today don't address any of the anxiety that comes as a part of the job seeking process, but it should be one of their top priorities.

Career services actually work when everyone involved has aligned incentives.

Going to college, getting into debt and still being unhappy with your career isn't a plan for success, yet it's today's harsh reality. It's nearly impossible for a counselor to help hundreds or thousands of university students at a time and still be effective, but what if career services were actually goaled on the success of their students?

When everyone pays it forward, the entire community wins.

When mentees become mentors, a positive loop occurs again and again, helping the next generation of job seekers and the generation after them. Our fellows pay it forward and become mentors for other aspiring tech professionals after they've succeeded.

There's more to your life than your career.

Today, we're told to work so hard that sometimes we ignore life, family and friends. Though Pathrise is all about your career, we still believe that it's equally as important for your career to be in sync with your life goals; a happy balance of everything you value.
