The Role

The Business Analytics team is key to the operational and financial success of Outschool. Our mission is to empower Outschool's leadership departments by identifying tracking key metrics actionable insights. We are responsible for anchoring the company around metrics of business importance and advising partners around the company on making smart, data-driven strategic decisions. As a member of the Business Analytics team, you will be essential in helping the company achieve strategic tactical alignment, and optimize towards growth opportunities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design track business metrics, and report them to key internal and external stakeholders
Build models to forecast financial and business performance based on a variety of inputs
Partner with internal teams to tackle challenges develop scalable, data-driven solutions
Conduct deep-dive data analyses to generate communicate actionable insights

DESIRED EXPERIENCE SKILLS:

3+ years experience in a financial, consulting, business operations, or analytics role in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
Domain experience with marketplace products and/or K-12 education
Advanced-level SQL and Excel skills
Experience with evaluating sometimes-complex quantitative insights for business importance/significance
Experience working cross-functionally, and taking into consideration multiple inputs in order to achieve agreed-upon outcomes

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

Expertise with business intelligence tools (e.g. Looker, Mode, Tableau)

Outschool recruits across the US and Canada, and sets employee salaries to reflect local compensation and cost of living. For New York and California candidates, as well as candidates based in Seattle, WA the salary range for this role would be $125,000-150,000 USD.

For Washington candidates outside of Seattle, as well as Colorado candidates, the salary range for this role would be $112,500-135,000 USD.
