Job description
The Digital Marketing Manager will hold three key areas of responsibility: owning Newsela’s digital experience strategy and pre-authenticated website optimization; driving paid media strategy and execution; and establishing digital marketing best practices across the company. With the majority of your efforts focused on the first, you will serve as point person for developing and executing on a digital strategy to ensure awareness, consideration, thought leadership, and demand generation objectives are met. You will be the primary business owner of the pre-authenticated Newsela.com site, converting it into an always-on demand generation engine through effective site architecture, navigation, testing, re-targeting, content gating strategies, competitive site analysis, and click-to-chat optimization. You will also run point on working cross-functionally and with external agencies to ensure brand consistency across all digital properties.

Your 5+ years of experience working with content management systems and tracking tools has enabled you to build a data-driven process for optimizing website performance (you’re a whiz with SEO and demand gen metrics, and can deftly align them to overall business goals). You are an expert in planning and executing digital media campaigns across SEM, paid social, display advertising, retargeting campaigns, etc. You are also able to seamlessly translate business requirements into technical execution, and know which levers to pull to get the job done. You do all of this, while actively seeking input from other teams to ensure collaboration and alignment at every step in the process.
