About the Role

We’re hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. This is a W2, in-person role providing psychiatric care to patients aged 11 and up.

As a MOOD provider, you’ll treat a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. You’ll also play a key role in supporting disability assessments and evaluations for patients seeking mental health documentation to aid in disability claims and accommodations.

This position is ideal for a clinician seeking meaningful, flexible, and supported psychiatric practice in a dynamic environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide telehealth and in-person psychiatric care to adolescents (11+) and adults

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring safety, efficacy, and patient understanding

  • Complete mental health disability assessments and evaluations, documenting findings with clinical accuracy and empathy to support patients’ needs

  • Maintain timely, complete clinical documentation in accordance with state and practice standards

  • Participate in case consultations and peer collaboration to ensure quality and consistency of care

  • Build strong therapeutic rapport and foster trust with patients from diverse backgrounds

Qualifications

  • Active California PMHNP license and furnishing number

  • Active or pending California DEA license

  • 2+ years of experience treating adolescents (ages 11–17) and adults

  • Experience diagnosing and treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder

  • Experience or interest in conducting disability assessments and mental health evaluations preferred

  • Proficiency with EHR and telehealth platforms

  • Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required


Schedule Setting

  • Job Type: Part-time

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday availability preferred; some weekend availability a plus
