About the role

This is a role within the Business Lending team with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as the team and business continues to grow. This role would suit a super-smart graduate or young professional who is a great problem solver and loves working with numbers and wishes to test themselves in a fast-moving, highly successful, innovative Fintech and have the opportunity to make a real impact on the business from the get-go.

You will use your analytical and problem-solving skills to generate key insights from data and leverage those insights to drive meaningful change. You will also drive enhanced process and risk maturity within the function and be responsible for a range of Policy documentation and authorship.

You will also need to be a strong communicator and will need to present your insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and then work with product/tech teams to implement proposed changes.

You will need to have an awareness of what it means to work within a regulated industry and the need to ensure we operate within regulatory guidelines and maintain the appropriate high standards expected by not only our regulators but also our customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leverage large in-house data to uncover trends and behavioural indicators and develop actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure flawless project execution by establishing robust documentation, progress monitoring, and clear, consistent communication that keeps all stakeholders aligned and informed.
  • Generate insightful and data-driven reports for executive leadership and external audiences, effectively translating complex information into critical business performance summaries.
  • Support the data driven decision making culture across the Bank through innovation and proactive application of data analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Product and Data Engineering on strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support senior stakeholders (e.g. Head of Credit Analytics, Business Lead) on a range of ad-hoc tasks including preparation of Risk Committee reporting, leading and driving Credit Risk Policy documentation and various other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • You will love problem solving and numbers and have a natural curiosity to delve deeper to understand how things work.
  • Display an aptitude for coding and may have experience of Excel, SQL, Python.
  • Innovative, entrepreneurial start-up mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present analysis clearly.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Awareness of Compliance within a Regulatory environment.
