Maze is a Series A funded startup building the future of rapid testing for modern teams. We're backed by some of the world's best funds and have an extensive advisory network.
We're on a mission to empower modern teams to build better user experiences by testing and learning rapidly with real users. To do this, we've partnered with the world's biggest design tools, including Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Sketch, and Marvel. We power over 40,000 brands globally, including IBM, Logitech, Pipedrive, Uber, Greenpeace, and Braze.
We're a fully remote team working across 21 countries. You'll be joining a passionate team whose resumes include Canva, Figma, GitLab, Google, InVision, Typeform and Zendesk.
You will work on all aspects of the product, which includes:
Our user-research platform, with all the hindrances associated with complex data-visualization & analytics dashboard.
Our tester’s hiring platform, where you’ll work with us on building a complete marketplace from scratch.
Prototyping tool integrations, or you’ll be able to work directly with the development teams of Figma, Adobe, InVision, Marvel, and more.
Our automated reporting platform, where you'll work on a comprehensive document where the whole product team can participate.
As a part of the Maze product team, here’s what you’ll do:
Architect and develop highly scalable web applications.
Work closely with our designer and engineers to design, build, and ship new features from scratch.
Evaluate and improve the performance, durability, and security of applications in production.
Take ownership for your tasks and see features through from start to finish.
Help teammates improve when reviewing their work and appreciate feedback when they reciprocate.
Work on projects in 6-week build cycles using Shape up methodology. Shape up removes a lot of overhead in meetings, increases focused work time, and allows teams to take full autonomy over the scope of the solution.
You should apply if:
You have excellent written and spoken English skills.
You have GraphQL / NodeJS / Typescript knowledge.
You have experience with functional programming.
You're able to write maintainable and scalable code.
You're a thorough tester & always strive to improve your work environment.
You enjoy working remotely.
You're interested in UX & UI design.
You have experience with AWS & AWS Services.
You have experience in data-visualization.
You have experience with deployment automation tools.
You have a good dose of initiative, as well as a great sense of humor.
How to Apply:
We receive a lot of applications so try to submit something that will grab our attention! It’s important for us to see your comprehension of our product so make sure that:
You've done some research on Maze and signed up to try the product.
You include a well-structured and concise message with your application explaining why you find Maze interesting and why you'd be a good fit. Show off a little :).
Consider this our wish-list. We know there will be great candidates that don't meet every one of these criteria—if you're passionate about the role and feel that your experience prepares you to do it, we'd love to hear from you.

Learn about Maze and their company culture.
We're a passionate bunch working from all over the world to build the future of rapid testing together.
Building user-facing experiences is always a risk. And the riskier the decision, the more data we need to fully commit. It’s not easy, however, to validate ideas and get actionable, quantifiable user insights to make decisions confidently, especially before you have a live product or website.
We experienced this first hand while working on our previous startup.
We had a waiting list of 2,000 people willing to test our prototype—and yet no platform easily allowed us to test our product idea at scale.
This is when Maze was born.
Maze began with the belief that product design teams should have easy access to data during the design phase. Since then we have evolved our vision to empower anyone in product and marketing teams to test, learn, and act rapidly. We believe that this is how you build successful user experiences today.
Our values are the driving force behind everything we do at Maze
With speed comes faster learnings. We believe in continuous improvements so that our users get more value faster and we can learn rapidly.
We’re a design-led company and believe in the power of beautiful design to drive business growth, user satisfaction and ultimately to change the world.
Everything we do at Maze is an iteration to the next step. We don’t strive for immediate perfection but rather take an experimental approach to everything we do.
Informed by data
We believe in the power of data. And this is why we use data as the basis of our decision-making—but we also believe in going with your gut feeling from time to time. We’re human after all.
We believe that improving anything starts with the ability to listen to others. Feedback — both internal and external — is vital to everything we do.
We always consider the human on the other side of every interaction: when we design experiences, develop our product, create marketing materials, or walk you through our product.
It's all about the people and their pup 💙
We’re always looking for amazing people to join us. If you’re interested in building the future of rapid testing with us, check out our available positions below.
