General Manager of Affiliate and Lead Generation Monetization

LawnStarter is the nation's leading on-demand platform for lawn care and landscaping services, and our vision is to be one-stop shop for all outdoor home services. Over the past 8 years, we've grown to 120 metro areas, raised $30 million in funding, and acquired our biggest competitor, solidifying our leadership in the space.

In addition to all that, we are starting a brand new business unit around lead gen affiliate revenue. We are leveraging our world-class SEO and performance marketing capabilities to profitably generate leads across all home services verticals. As the GM, you will be responsible for building this business from the ground up.

What you'll be responsible for

Building the Lead Gen Business From Scratch: Over the years, we've gotten pretty good at SEO, and have millions of visitors to monetize. Additionally, we've developed advanced performance marketing chops that we will also apply to creating profitable lead generation campaigns. You'll own this from start to finish, from click, to conversion to monetization.

Signing New Partners: You'll be in charge of developing relationships with large home services companies and creating partnerships so we can drive revenue to them.

Building a Team: You will be responsible for building out the team to scale this business unit.

Owning a PL: You'll have complete ownership of the PL for the lead gen business. You'll be responsible for deciding where to invest capital.

Requirements

Experience in Lead Generation / Affiliate Businesses: This ain't your first rodeo. You understand the world of lead gen in and out.

Strong Analytical Skills: You should be a master of spreadsheets and comfortable working with data analysts - even better iif you can write SQL yourself. Additionally, you should be able to pair complex data analysis with business intuition and be able to discover key insights, run tests, and make tradeoffs.

Business Development Skills: You'll be responsible for finding and signing up partners to sell leads to. You will be the face of the operation to all external parties.

Understanding of Digital Marketing and Conversion Funnels: You don't need to be the SEM or SEO guru (we have plenty of these), but you should have an understanding of how these channels work and the various levers you can pull. You have an intuition on things like landing pages and conversion funnels.

Adaptability / Entrepreneurialism: Since you'll be responsible for all aspects of this business, you'll need to do all sorts of things day to day. From conversion funnels, to business development to setting up account management functions.

Team Builder: We're starting small but we expect this to be a sizable business unit. You should have experience hiring and managing a team.

Willingness to Get Your Hands Dirty: This is a pretty senior role within the company, but you'll be needing to get your hands dirty in the beginning as we grow.
