We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Content Strategist and Proposal Specialist to lead content development initiatives and manage the proposal generation process and company strategy for state adoptions of instructional materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content strategy, technical writing, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This role requires exceptional communication skills, an ability to manage complex projects, and experience with high-stakes content creation.

You will...

  • Lead the creation and implementation of content strategies to support business development and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect, monitor and measure success of adoption and RFP proposals to contribute to business goals.
  • Utilize business analysis tools to monitor proposal performance and derive insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Enhance the proposal intake process to improve quality, streamline workflows, and align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of proposals, including analyzing RFP requirements, coordinating input from multiple stakeholders, refining reviewer experiences and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Draft, edit, and format proposals, ensuring alignment with client specifications and company standards.
  • Maintain and update a proposal library with reusable content and templates.
  • Manage project timelines, coordinate team efforts, and evaluate proposals to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project success and support business growth.
  • Analyze proposal processes and outcomes to recommend and implement best practices for efficiency and quality.
  • Produce high-quality, precise documentation for internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in all technical and proposal content.
  • Review and refine materials for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.

What we're looking for...

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content strategy, technical writing, or proposal development
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex RFP and proposal processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Experience with business analysis tools
  • Ability to synthesize technical information into clear, concise, and persuasive content.
  • High attention to detail and an ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with grant writing or funding proposal processes.
  • Preference to Knowledge of APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) best practices.

Salary range is dependent on geography, past experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
