This role is an exciting opportunity for a QA leader to shape the quality strategy of a new, high-profile product in a fully remote environment. The Technical QA Manager will drive both hands-on and strategic quality initiatives, collaborating with development teams and AI research groups to define and implement testing standards. You’ll manage external QA partnerships, implement AI-assisted testing tools, and mentor teams to ensure product releases meet high standards of reliability and performance. This is a position where your technical expertise, leadership, and creativity will directly influence the success of the product and the efficiency of the development process.
Accountabilities:
- Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy across all product workstreams, balancing internal and external testing capabilities.
- Manage relationships with external QA vendors, ensuring they are integrated effectively into the overall quality process.
- Establish test planning standards, coach team members on writing effective test plans, and foster ownership of quality within feature teams.
- Lead the adoption and iteration of AI-driven testing solutions, including LLM-assisted QA workflows.
- Monitor testing outcomes, provide guidance on best practices, and continuously improve QA processes.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure smooth integration of QA processes into the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in test planning, execution, and QA strategy development for complex software products.
- Experience managing internal QA teams and external vendor relationships.
- Hands-on expertise in test execution and troubleshooting, with a keen eye for detail and reproducibility.
- Familiarity with AI tools and LLM-assisted processes for QA automation is strongly preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking about quality, iteration speed, and release risk management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bonus skills: software engineering experience, release management background, familiarity with AI-driven QA pipelines.
