This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer, Team Lead in the United States.
As a Software Engineer Team Lead, you will oversee and mentor a talented engineering team while contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality web and mobile applications. You will guide technical decisions, define architecture standards, and ensure best practices across frontend, backend, and cloud systems. This role allows you to impact the software lifecycle end-to-end, from planning and coding to deployment and monitoring, in a mission-driven, collaborative environment. Working with modern technologies such as Angular, ASP.NET Core, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines, you will shape scalable, secure solutions while fostering growth and technical excellence across your team.
Accountabilities
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team of software developers.
- Oversee the design and implementation of web-based and mobile applications using modern frameworks.
- Define software architecture and influence best practices for frontend, backend, and cloud solutions.
- Ensure high-quality development through code reviews, CI/CD processes, and adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, QA, and operations teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, applying advanced debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain secure coding practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8–10 years of progressive software development experience.
- 6–8 years of experience as a people manager or team lead.
- Advanced proficiency in web development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, and TypeScript.
- Expertise in backend and API development using C#, .NET Core, REST, and applying Domain-Driven Design and Dependency Injection.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL and AWS DynamoDB.
- Strong cloud and DevOps experience, including AWS services (Fargate, ECS, Lambda, S3, etc.), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and source control (GitHub).
- Agile development expertise and familiarity with full software development lifecycle practices.
- Knowledge of secure coding principles and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- AWS Solution Architect certification preferred.
- U.S. residency required; willingness to travel for biannual retreats.
- Passion for higher education is a plus.
