This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer (DevOps Role) in India.
This role is ideal for a proactive DevOps professional who will design, implement, and maintain deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure to support multiple software development teams. You will be responsible for automating builds, managing containerized applications, and ensuring high availability of SaaS applications and microservices. The role requires close collaboration with software engineers, architects, and product teams to streamline development, deployment, and monitoring processes. You will help enhance the speed, reliability, and scalability of software delivery while maintaining operational excellence. The position offers exposure to modern cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices in a dynamic and collaborative team.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with feature development teams to understand deployment needs and optimize processes.
- Deploy and configure applications and containers across Tomcat servers and Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage test databases, including deployment of MongoDB instances with relevant data.
- Develop and implement automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot failed builds, analyze logs, and communicate issues to development teams.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Git, including branching, tagging, building, and releasing.
- Participate in 24/7 support rotation to maintain system reliability and uptime.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with technologies such as Java, Groovy, Python, Bash, AWS, Chef, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills, preferably in Python and Groovy.
- Expertise in container orchestration and Kubernetes, including Helm charts.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation methodologies, specifically Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Argo CD.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, S3).
- Knowledge of Linux administration, high availability, durability, monitoring, and cost optimization in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Blue/Green deployments and DevSecOps tools (Sonar, Blackduck) is preferred.
- Strong operational knowledge of Linux and developer tools like GitHub and Artifactory.
