We are seeking a skilled SDET to join a dynamic Quality Engineering team focused on building and maintaining automated test frameworks for modern microservices architectures. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement automated testing solutions for both legacy and new applications, ensuring high software quality across functional and non-functional requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, development, DevOps, and QA, to drive continuous integration, testing, and delivery practices. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong programming and testing expertise, and is motivated to innovate and improve automation frameworks to support scalable and reliable software solutions.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks for UI, API, and microservices layers.
- Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams to design and implement effective automated testing strategies.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CT/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
- Conduct technical analysis to anticipate risks, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain technical documentation related to test architecture, integration processes, and procedures.
- Participate in technical design meetings to provide input on testing strategies and quality assurance.
- Monitor and manage test automation metrics, defects, and technical debt.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or SDET, preferably in a microservices environment.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with SQL Server or other databases and automated testing tools, such as Cypress or Selenium.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and quality gating policies.
- Experience designing modern test strategies within CI/CT/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., K6), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and project tracking tools like JIRA is a plus.
