This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager (MEP-Travel) in the United States.
This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction projects, from proposal through completion. The Senior Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while fostering high-performing teams. This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, proactively addresses challenges, and drives continuous improvement across complex project portfolios. Travel is a significant component, offering exposure to diverse project sites and operational practices.
Accountabilities:
- Oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence across multiple sites.
- Manage project estimates, costs, change orders, and financial reporting to maintain profitability.
- Lead scheduling, sequencing, and resource allocation to optimize project execution.
- Serve as primary liaison with contractors, owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and successful outcomes.
- Conduct project health reviews, job walks, and stakeholder meetings to track progress and implement corrective actions.
- Support preconstruction and proposal efforts, providing input on project planning and strategy.
- Identify risks, resolve project hurdles, and implement best practices for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 8+ years of experience in construction project management, particularly in MEP, with demonstrated success leading complex projects; 10+ years relevant experience may substitute for degree requirements.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or CMIC.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to lead teams and present to stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 60% and work extended hours as needed.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and resource management skills, with attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
