This role is a high-impact position on a team responsible for building and improving a large-scale conversational AI platform used to power critical customer support channels. You will design, implement, and optimize machine learning and NLP solutions that enhance automation, efficiency, and intelligence across user-facing support products. Accountabilities:
- Drive the design, implementation, and improvement of the conversational AI platform, applying state-of-the-art ML/NLP techniques.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, backend, and platform teams to build scalable and reliable services.
- Develop automation solutions that enhance efficiency for support teams and improve user experience.
- Work with cross-functional groups including product, design, and operations to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap for AI within the platform.
- Mentor and guide engineers on best practices for ML, platform design, and deployment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or 3+ years with a PhD in CS.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Java, Ruby, Kotlin, C++).
- Experience designing and scaling large-scale services or platforms.
- Expertise or interest in ML/NLP applications, particularly large language model-based platforms.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product, design, and operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate research into production-ready solutions.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale ML systems, NLP pipelines, and deploying AI in customer support or automation contexts.
