This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Security Engineer, Operational Technology – Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.) in the United States.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of critical operational technology environments across multiple industries. You will design, implement, and maintain OT security architectures, working with clients to identify threats, optimize security resources, and deploy best-fit solutions. The position involves hands-on work with OT security tools, network architecture, and industrial control systems while delivering actionable recommendations to technical and managerial stakeholders. You will participate in cutting-edge projects, contribute to technical documentation, and help shape security strategies in complex environments. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and have a deep understanding of OT and IoT security, as well as enterprise IT and networking principles. This role requires adaptability, strong client engagement skills, and a commitment to continuous learning in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Accountabilities:
- Deliver OT professional services, including architecture reviews, validated design assessments, advisory and engineering services.
- Deploy and manage OT security tools such as Claroty, Dragos, Nozomi, and Tenable OT.
- Author detailed deliverables tailored to both technical and managerial audiences, including execution summaries, risk assessments, and remediation strategies.
- Stay current with emerging OT threats, standards, and best practices to maintain expertise in the field.
- Foster strong client relationships through interactive, collaborative support and guidance.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing across multiple projects and client engagements.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity frameworks such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST-CSF, and NIST 800-82.
- Familiarity with the Purdue Model for industrial control system segmentation and architecture.
- Minimum of 3 years performing security services in OT environments and 2 years in an enterprise-level consulting role.
- Over 5 years combined experience in IT, networking, and information security preferred.
- Experience with OT penetration testing is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as GICSP or GRID are preferred.
- Ability to lead projects, deliver high-quality client engagements, and communicate complex scenarios clearly.
- Strong knowledge of OT attacks, tactics, techniques, and security best practices.
