This role offers the opportunity to manage complex pavement analysis projects from inception to delivery, supporting State Department of Transportation and local government clients. The Project Manager β Pavement Operations will oversee project scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with cross-functional teams across the organization. This position requires strong client communication skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to influence internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations. Accountabilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle for pavement operations projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to meet as-sold margins and internal targets.
- Serve as primary client contact, providing updates and maintaining communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams and sales to ensure seamless transition from proposal to project execution.
- Track internal and external project progress, addressing issues proactively to ensure successful outcomes.
- Influence and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet client requirements and project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, GIS, or IT.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) certification is a plus.
- Project Management certifications such as CAPM, PMP, or Prince2 are desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on pavement projects with local or state Departments of Transportation preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Visio) and Jira for project management.
- Experience with GIS software is beneficial.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle dynamic project challenges.
- Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
