This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Application Engineer, Zuora Billing and Revenue in the United States.
This role is designed for an experienced application engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of Zuora Billing and Revenue solutions across Finance, Billing, Accounts Receivable, and Revenue processes. You will act as a technical leader, guiding cross-functional teams, conducting design workshops, and delivering scalable solutions that optimize Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) and Revenue operations. The role emphasizes collaboration with finance and technical stakeholders, building system prototypes, and driving automation and innovation. You will also ensure compliance with operational, audit, and SOX requirements while mentoring junior team members. This remote position offers opportunities to contribute to global business processes and make a significant operational impact.
Accountabilities
- Lead the design, configuration, development, and testing of Zuora solutions focused on Billing, AR, Cash Application, and Revenue processes.
- Conduct business workshops to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into effective Zuora solutions.
- Partner with process owners to define KPIs and develop dashboards and reports using Zuora object queries and other data tools.
- Build system prototypes and demos to validate solutions with stakeholders prior to development.
- Integrate Zuora Billing and Revenue with upstream usage systems and downstream accounting platforms.
- Monitor production processes, proactively identify issues, and implement fixes.
- Ensure compliance with audit, QAR, and SOX standards.
- Mentor and lead junior team members to support project deliverables and professional growth.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Zuora Billing and Revenue modules, including product and customer master data management.
- Proven ability to lead full implementation lifecycles—from requirements gathering to testing and deployment.
- Solid understanding of Billing and Revenue workflows, including integrations with usage loads, taxation, and invoice presentment.
- Experience collaborating closely with finance and accounting teams in global organizations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of change management and Agile methodologies.
- Desired: Certifications in Zuora Billing and Revenue implementations.
