Full-Stack Engineer | LATAM

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full-Stack Engineer in Latin America.

In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining scalable, high-quality web applications that impact millions of users across multiple countries. You will work across the full technology stack—front-end, back-end, and database layers—collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and QA teams to deliver robust, customer-centric features. Your work will span from implementing new functionality and optimizing existing services to participating in architecture decisions and code reviews. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain front-end components using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and associated frameworks (Next.js, Vite).
• Develop server-side APIs, business logic, and data models primarily using Express, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and interactions with PostgreSQL to support robust and efficient applications.
• Build reusable and modular components across front-end and back-end to promote code consistency and maintainability.
• Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain standards of excellence.
• Stay current with emerging web development trends and recommend process improvements to enhance development efficiency.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience, with strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with React, Express, and associated frameworks; knowledge of NestJS, Vite, and Next.js is a plus.
• Experience designing and implementing server-side APIs, database interactions, and client-side components.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai, Storybook, React Testing Library) and automated testing methodologies (Cypress).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and a remote-first environment.
• Passion for delivering high-quality, customer-focused software solutions and iterating quickly on feedback.
