This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Backend Engineer - Integration in the United States.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support a cutting-edge identity and access management platform. You will collaborate with product managers, security experts, and fellow engineers to build scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that meet evolving customer needs. The position offers the opportunity to work on advanced IAM features such as user provisioning, access control, and actionable intelligence, contributing directly to the platform’s performance, security, and scalability. You will continuously optimize systems, implement monitoring and auditing capabilities, and stay ahead of emerging trends in the identity security space. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, microservices, and APIs for the IAM platform.
- Implement identity lifecycle management features, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access policies.
- Build and maintain Access Intelligence features to provide actionable insights from customer environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features that meet business and security requirements.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and auditing solutions to ensure compliance and system visibility.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and security through code reviews, testing, and refactoring.
- Stay current with IAM and cloud technology trends to drive platform innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of backend software development experience, preferably in identity and access management or security.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Golang or Java.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, standards, and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their IAM services.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
