Fundacion Capital

Fundación Capital is an international development organization and innovation lab that drives global economic citizenship. Founded in 2009, the organization works to create lasting and systemic change in the lives of people living in poverty and vulnerability across Latin America and Africa.

Together with governments, financial institutions, and partner organizations, Fundación Capital designs and delivers solutions that enhance financial, digital, and economic well-being. The organization operates through three strategic pillars: Economic Inclusion and Livelihoods, Financial Health and Inclusion, and Digital Inclusion. At the core of their work is the Graduation Program, a multi-faceted approach with proven impact in reducing extreme poverty and creating sustainable economic opportunities.

As an agile innovation lab, the organization integrates a transformative gender lens, climate action, and data-driven strategies to develop scalable, localized solutions. With more than 200 professionals from over 16 nationalities, Fundación Capital has reached millions of people across Latin America and Africa, earning recognition including the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, Ashoka Senior Friendship, and the Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year award.
