Job Summary

The Business PlanningAnalyst primarily provides support services for the financial reporting, budgeting andforecasting for F&G’s Retail division. This position will also provide some support services for business planning across F&G’s Insurance Group.

This position reports to the Manager, Retail Business Planning.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with gathering and analysis of data to support financial reporting and budgeting and forecasting for Retail division
  • Budgeting/Forecasting
    • Prepare month end reporting and analyses.
    • Participate in month end reviews with department leaders.
    • Prepare summary reporting to share with Insurance Group leadership.
    • Create and manage files and datamodels.
    • Prepare historical data for the budget center leaders.
    • Partner with Retail Business Planning team to assist budget center leaders in completing the budget templates
    • Analyze budget submissions to ensure they comply with the guidance provided by leadership.
    • Consolidate budget data for leadership review and assist in preparing presentation for leadership.
    • Collaborate to improve the budget template and process.
  • Maintain calendars of key deliverables.
  • Participate in the team’s continuous process improvement culture - empowered to identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities (including automation). Collaborate with cross functional teams on improving data reporting and evaluate automation opportunities.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • BA/BS in Economics, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a corporate finance/portfolio management environment with emphasis on analytics. Experience in insurance industry preferred.
  • Experience supporting strategic and financial initiatives

  • Knowledge of financial modeling & reporting
  • Knowledge & experience of modeling & reporting via Excel, PowerPoint, SQL (desired), Smartview (desired), and Onestream (desired)

Other Requirements

  • Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Some travel required (less than 10%)
