Marketing Manager

EnerVenue

EnerVenue is redefining what energy storage looks like for the clean energy revolution. Built on

technology proven over decades in the most demanding environments on Earth — and in space —

our nickel-hydrogen batteries are simpler, safer, and more durable than lithium-ion alternatives.

Founded in 2020 and commercialized from research at Stanford University, EnerVenue has raised

over $750M and is scaling production at our gigafactory in China. We are named among TIME's

World Top GreenTech Companies for 2024, 2025 and 2026, and we're just getting started.

The Opportunity

As Marketing Manager, you will be the architect and steward of EnerVenue's brand story at a pivotal

moment in the clean energy transition. This is a leadership role for a strategic operator who can

translate complex technology into compelling narratives — and build the marketing engine to bring

them to market at scale. You will work directly with the executive team to define our market positioning, accelerate commercial growth, and establish EnerVenue as the definitive name in long-duration energy storage.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Positioning

  • Own and evolve EnerVenue's brand identity, messaging, and visual language across all touchpoints.
  • Develop and articulate clear, differentiated positioning for our nickel-hydrogen technology in the stationary storage market.
  • Serve as the guardian of brand consistency as the company scales into new geographies and segments.

Demand Generation & Pipeline

  • Build and execute integrated marketing campaigns that generate qualified pipeline for the sales team across utility, industrial, commercial, and microgrid segments.
  • Develop account-based marketing (ABM) strategies targeting utilities, independent power producers, and large industrial customers.
  • Oversee digital marketing, SEO/SEM, content strategy, and marketing automation platforms to drive measurable ROI.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Build a content engine — whitepapers, case studies, webinars, video, and earned media that positions EnerVenue as a trusted authority in long-duration energy storage.
  • Lead executive communications support, including speechwriting, conference presentations, and media spokesperson preparation.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to translate technical depth into customer-facing stories.

Events & Industry Presence

  • Manage EnerVenue's presence at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows (e.g., RE+, SNEC, Energy Storage Summit).
  • Lead PR and analyst relations strategy to build credibility and amplify news milestones.
  • Coordinate with government affairs and policy teams on communications related to domestic manufacturing and clean energy incentives.

Team & Operations

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team; manage external agencies and contractors.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadences to track marketing performance and communicate results to leadership.
  • Manage the marketing budget with discipline and a strong orientation toward measurable outcomes.

What You Bring

Required

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience.
  • Proven track record building and scaling marketing functions at a growth-stage company in energy, cleantech, industrials, or adjacent sectors.
  • Deep expertise in brand strategy, demand generation, and content marketing — with a strong portfolio to show for it.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communicator with the ability to distill complex technical concepts for executive, customer, and media audiences.
  • Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), and analytics tools.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment where you've had to do a lot with a little.

Preferred

  • Background in energy storage, battery technology, grid infrastructure, or renewable energy.
  • Experience marketing capital-intensive hardware or infrastructure solutions to utilities and large enterprises.
  • Familiarity with policy and regulatory landscapes shaping the U.S. energy transition (IRA, FERC, DOE programs).
  • Prior experience with a company approaching IPO, a major financing round, or significant manufacturing scale-up.
