Observability - Ingest - Software Engineer (Go/OTel)

The Observability Ingest team at Elastic is seeking an engineer to represent Elastic in the OpenTelemetry community. You will work with product management, design, and other engineering teams to author code on a fully distributed team of engineers supporting the Observability Ingest team’s mission, specifically around OTel Collector.

Requirements

  • Production experience with Go at scale
  • Experience with Open Source
  • System-level knowledge of Linux
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed
  • Ego-free attitude
  • Familiarity with the Elastic Stack
  • Experience working in a Kubernetes-based SaaS environment
