What You’ll Do

As a Dow Janes Financial Coach (Contractor), your primary role is to provide one-on-one financial coaching via live video calls.

You’ll guide members through personalized financial strategies and mindset shifts, helping them build confidence and clarity around money.

Topics may include:

• Budgeting and saving
• Debt payoff
• Basic Investing
• Building credit
• Real estate and taxes
• Increasing income
• Money mindset
• Financial Decisions

You’ll coach in alignment with the Dow Janes methodology of personal finance, supporting clients in creating a healthy relationship with money, living within their means, and developing strong financial habits.

You’ll also review and update client session notes to ensure progress is tracked accurately and that each member’s journey is well-documented and supported over time.

• Are comfortable on video and enjoy one-on-one connection
• Are tech-savvy and adaptable to new platforms and tools
• Want the flexibility and autonomy of an independent contractor role

Bonus Points If You Have…

• Niche experience in career, business, real estate, or mindset coaching
• The ability to work evenings or weekends to accommodate client schedules
• Conversational fluency in Spanish

Compensation & Structure

• This is a 1099 independent contractor position
• Compensation is based on experience and coaching volume
• You’ll set your own schedule within agreed-upon client commitments
• You’ll work remotely and be paid per completed coaching session, starting at $50 per session based on experience
• This is a flexible, remote role where you can choose your workload — from a minimum of 5 coaching calls per week up to a maximum of 25 coaching calls per week, depending on your availability and client demand.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience providing 1:1 financial coaching
• Financial certification or training (Financial Coach certification, AFC®, CFP®, etc. preferred)
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Reliable internet connection and comfort working remotely
