Compensation includes a base salary of $90,100.00 - $150,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The EHS Manager – Environmental and Regulatory Assurance will provide leadership and oversight for environmental compliance, environmental-related standards & training as well as work with sites and markets on administration of regulatory matters (Environmental, Health and Safety) for all of Cox Automotive, Inc. (CAI).. By building strong relationships with operational leadership the EHS Manager – Environmental and Regulatory Assurance will focus on driving improvement for environmental compliance and standardizing the environmental program for all of Cox Automotive by working with business EHS leaders to assure alignment on strategic objectives. In addition, the position will provide direct visibility to regulatory compliance challenges to ensure proper leadership engagement and rapid response to compliance needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Drive development of CAI environmental strategy.
Develop and execute strategy to identify environmental compliance opportunities and support sites in maintaining compliance with applicable environmental requirements.
Develop, Implement and/or align environmental standards for CAI.
Build and execute comprehensive environmental training program/plan for CAI.
Develop and implement a compliance assurance process to include site self-assessment and corporate compliance assurance reviews.
Participate in the development, implementation, and support of an enterprise-wide Environmental Management System (EMS).
Monitor legislative activity and regulatory requirements impacting CAI operations
Manage outside contractor/consulting partners.
Manage responses to agencies resulting from non-compliance or allegations of non-compliance.
Participate in due diligence activities related to new acquisitions.
Measure, track and report on environmental metrics.
Establish goals, targets and objectives to measure environmental performance by promoting a continuous improvement culture.
Establish effective working relationships with internal customers (i.e., operational leadership) and other stakeholders such as Cox Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) Risk Management and Cox Communications, Inc. (CCI) EHS.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field
