The Opportunity:

Join a team dedicated to advancing the mission of a Federal agency headquartered in Washington, D.C. In this role, your acquisition expertise will help shape and deliver programs that make a tangible difference. You’ll play a key part in guiding complex procurements from concept to completion—ensuring every contract supports the client’s objectives and achieves high-quality outcomes.


Responsibilities:

You will provide comprehensive lifecycle contract support, from strategy and planning through award and closeout. Every day, you’ll contribute to the success of critical programs by:

  • Developing acquisition plans and justification documentation that set the foundation for successful procurements.
  • Supporting source selection efforts, including crafting evaluation criteria, contract line-item structures, statements of work, and correspondence.
  • Managing the full range of contracting activities, including market research, price/cost estimates, solicitation development, proposal evaluations, preparing price negotiation memoranda, contract modifications, and closeout documentation.
  • Assisting with the review of contractor performance and contract documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensuring adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific policies while supporting efforts to streamline acquisition processes and implement innovative procurement strategies


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Acquisition certification equivalency of FAC-C or DAWIA level I in contracting
  • Five (5) years of progressive acquisition experience supporting and developing complex government procurements.
  • Strong working knowledge of the FAR and the ability to quickly adapt to agency-specific supplements.
  • Demonstrated experience applying acquisition streamlining initiatives and reforms.
  • Proven understanding of various acquisition approaches, including full and open competition, firm-fixed-price, labor-hour, GWACs, interagency agreements, and blanket purchase agreements, with the ability to prepare documentation for each.
  • Excellent organizational and writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience leading large and complex procurements through all stages—planning, solicitation, evaluation, award, and administration.
  • Expertise across the full contract lifecycle, from pre-award (planning, solicitation, source selection, award) to post-award (administration and closeout).
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve contract issues effectively

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$57,500-$117,900
