Stay safe on Himalayas

Never send money to companies. Jobs on Himalayas will never require payment from applicants.

Bragi was founded in 2013 and launched the world's first Truly Wireless Earphones in 2015 (yes, a whole 12 months before the Airpods...)

Since then, we have evolved from a promising startup to a market-moving creator of innovative technology, opening the new category of Truly Wireless Earphones. Bragi transformed into a software enabler for consumer brands, focusing on scaling its technology after investing more than $90 million in software and AI.

Now we are a leader in the AI headphone space, known for our smart devices that integrate seamlessly into users' lives. With a focus on innovation and user experience, we are driving the evolution of wearable technology.

Test Automation Engineer (5 months-limited)

This is a remote role, but you are welcome to join us in our Munich Office.

The contract is limited to 5 months.

Tasks

  • Develop cutting-edge tools in Bragi's proprietary audio testing environment, focusing on automation of audio features for headphones, TWS earbuds, and Speakers
  • AI-based scenario and test case development
  • Work hands-on with audio hardware in/with our automated audio lab and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) setups to ensure voice control accuracy, device reliability, and audio quality
  • Execute a mix of automated and manual tests, actively improving test coverage and efficiency
  • Analyze test results with a focus on audio performance and voice interaction, report findings, and collaborate with developers to ensure high product quality
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Bragi’s audio test infrastructure, resolving hardware and software-related issues swiftly
  • Develop and document detailed audio and voice control test plans using Qase

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, ideally with a focus on audio products (headphones, earbuds, speakers, or voice-controlled devices)
  • Strong skills in Python and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, GitLab)
  • Solid knowledge of automated testing frameworks and processes
  • Passion for working with physical audio devices, someone who enjoys testing directly on hardware, not just in software simulations
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership, drive, and team collaboration
  • Strong interest and ideally prior experience in using AI tooling (Claude or similar)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Nice to have

  • Experience testing voice assistant features (Google Assistant, Alexa, Siri) on hardware
  • Knowledge of Robot Framework
  • Familiarity with bash scripting or Windows batch scripting
  • Background in acoustics, audio engineering, or voice recognition technologies
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced)

Benefits

  • A project that is extremely technically challenging and will change how audio is consumed forever
  • Master your Test Automation skills by working in a creative and game-changing environment with many Senior Engineers
  • A chance to deliver a delightful experience to 25m+ users in the next 12 months (existing base is 10m+)
  • A flexible online Learning & Development program: choose where you want to improve yourself
  • 10 professional coaching sessions with experts to support your growth
  • If you are in Munich and would like to work from the office, you can enjoy on-site perks such as breakfast and lunch, as well as regular social events. For remote colleagues, we also offer a range of virtual activities
  • Work from where suits you best
